Ans:- Hello everyone, I have ample experience in clearing both the TCS & TPS Preliminary and Mains exams, as I successfully cleared the 2016 and 2019 TCS & TPS Mains myself. Allow me to share some important rules you should follow:

  • Firstly, remember that clearing this exam doesn't require a five-year plan. With 7 or 8 months of preparation, anyone can easily crack it.
  • Secondly, the Preliminary exam simply serves as a qualification round for the Mains. No special preparation is needed for the Prelims.
  • It's advisable to start preparing for the Mains right from the beginning. If you think you'll focus on Mains preparation only after clearing the Prelims, it could be a major mistake.
  • The Mains exam evaluates your writing skills and knowledge of specific topics. Try to choose one topic each day and practice writing on it. TPSC has evolved, as seen in the 2019 TCS & TPS exams, where topics like "No pain, no gain" and "report on respect for the aged" were covered. Ultimately, you should be able to write on any given topic.

Ans:- If you are eligible for physically then you go for Sub-Inspector recruitment ( physical measurement available in the official website). Practice regularly like running (800m in 4:15sec and 100m in 16 sec), shot- put, High jump, Long jump. But keep in mind one thing that if you think once I clear physical then I would like to go for written exam preparation, it will be your giant fault. If you want to get a job you should prepare physical as well as written simultaneously.
